Preschool at Seattle Public Schools

Our preschool programs offer children and families opportunity and access to classrooms and school communities with a positive climate, and teachers who are ready and able to meet their individual needs in high-quality, inclusive, and culturally responsive learning environments.

2024-25 Seattle Preschool Program Applications Open!

Enrolling in the Seattle Preschool Program with Seattle Public Schools takes place through the City of Seattle Department of Education and Early Learning (DEEL).

DEEL highly encourages parents to apply directly online through the DEEL online portal. You may also submit a paper application or complete an application over the phone.

Head Start Preschool Program

Head Start is a FREE, federally funded child development program for children and their families who are eligible. The Head Start programs in Seattle Public Schools serve 3-year and 4-year-old children, offering preschool curriculum, family services, and transportation. Developmental Preschool

Early Childhood Special Education: For children age 3-5 determined eligible with a disability that impacts educational progress and who are in need of specially designed instruction. For information on programs offered at each school.
